About Us

Glastonbury Veterinary Hospital has been happy to serve the pet community of Glastonbury, CT, for nearly 60 years, after opening our doors in 1965.

We have always remained a privately owned veterinary hospital compared to several other corporate practices in the area. This practice has been family run since its inception by Dr. Stewart in 1965. His family then sold the practice to the Keish family. Dr. Bill Keish served the local community until he sold the practice to his daughter Laura Sprague. Dr. Sprague truly valued the private family run dynamic of the practice and sought out a similar minded family to transition the practice to. Griffin O’Connor and Jason Haviar are a married couple that have chosen to raise their family in Glastonbury CT. They have two children that attend the local schools and participate in sports and other community events. The family donates locally to support the community.

Griffin O’Connor grew up locally in Suffield, CT where she began her veterinary career at Suffield Veterinary Hospital. She was one of 5 veterinarians at a very busy practice and was mentored beautifully. Her concentration is in general medicine and wellness care.

Dr. Jason Haviar started his veterinary career in emergency medicine. He is experienced in many procedures and surgeries that most general practices aren’t able to perform during regular hours. Most surgeries like bloats, foreign body exploratories and c sections are often referred to surgeons and 24 hour clinics. We are so thankful to have an experienced emergency room clinician and surgeon working here.
