DESCRIPTION:Adult class\, all levels\n\nThursdays (March 13 to April 17) from 10:00 AM   noon\n\nYes! You can learn how to use color effectively in your art work. This six-week workshop is being offered to all creators as a way to understand how to use color in your medium of choice. Learn the basics of Color Theory and how to apply color\, whether you work with colored inks\, cut paper\, colored pencils\, pastels gouache\, watercolor\, acrylics or any type of *color media.\n\nWe will learn about the three properties of color and how they interact and change a work of art. The world of color is deep and exciting. It can be explored through a series of practical exercises to help you develop your sense of color. Individual instruction will be given based on your subject and choice of medium. Whether you use color in your work intuitively or use color theory rules\, exploring color can take your art work to a new level.\n\nRecommended Materials:\n\nYour medium of choice\; bring to class the medium you plan to work in\n\nSketchbook of quality paper and/or notebook\n\nRubber/plastic eraser\n\nKneaded eraser\n\nBlending stump\n\nPencil sharpener\n\nRuler\n\n*Please note: due to environmental issues and chemical sensitivities\, oil paints will not be used or covered in this workshop.\n\nThis class will be held in the lower level of MAC in the classroom. It will be led by instructor Rebecca Moran\, who holds an MFA in Visual Art and teaches drawing and painting courses at Eastern Connecticut State University.
