SUMMARY:Gettin' Down & Derby 8th Annual Tasting Event
DESCRIPTION:MARC Community Resources' tasting event is our premier annual fundraiser. Attracting an average of 300 attendees\, we've raised over $200\,000 over the past several years. Our guests enjoy tastings from an assortment of wines\, beer\, and spirits. This year's theme is the Kentucky Derby "Gettin' Down & Derby for disABILITIES" and includes music\, silent auction\, wine pull\, raffle\, a derby attire contest and more. MARC Community Resources' mission is to empower people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) to make their own life choices and aid in the fulfillment of their dreams - through employment\, housing\, social\, and community involvement and advocacy. We provide a multitude of services to over 200 individuals and their families throughout Middlesex and Hartford Counties. Each fundraiser and campaign benefit the critical programs that would otherwise not be funded.   15-20 wine\, beer and spirit distributors coordinated by Sammy's Buy Rite Liquors.   Up to 100 silent auction items (online bidding started at 32auctions.com/marcauction2019.   Wine pull with more than 40 red or white wines to choose.   Live music or DJ.   Light refreshments including stationary food displays and passed hors d'oeuvres.
