At first predominantly agricultural in nature\, South Glastonbury grew in leaps and bounds beginning in the early 1800s with the development of substantial manufacturing facilities along Roaring Brook. As a result\, the properties that you will be touring are a mixture of colonial\, Greek Revival\, and Queen Anne styles. \n\nEleven of the thirteen sites are conveniently located in a triangular loop. Hosts at some sites have promised Christmas surprises in the form of decorations and music\, so get into the holiday spirit.
