EAST HARTFORD, Conn. – August 21, 2023 –  Hoffman Auto Group in East Hartford, New London, Waterbury, and West Simsbury announced today that its marketing manager Sara Scribner is a recipient of this year’s “40 Under 40” award. The Hartford Business Journal presents the “40 Under 40” award each year to outstanding young professionals in the greater Hartford area who are excelling in their industries. Sara and the other recipients will be honored on September 28 at The Aqua Turf Club.

Sara’s responsibilities primarily include executing the marketing strategy for the entire auto group, managing third-party marketing vendors, ensuring department goals are met while adhering to an approved budget, and leading her team of two who manage social media, events, and digital analytics. “Sara has met every challenge since she joined our marketing team in 2015.” said I. Bradley Hoffman, Co-Chair of the Hoffman Auto Group. “Her exemplary leadership of our 100th anniversary year-long celebration in 2021 showed her proven ability to take on and succeed in the largest, most complex projects.”

During her career at Hoffman, Sara has spearheaded major projects such as: implementing “Hoffman at Home” an easy-to-use at-home buying experience for customers, and launching a tool to collect customer feedback with the goal of elevating service. Throughout this next year, Sara will be involved in all marketing aspects of Hoffman’s “next generation” Porsche facility, one of only four of its kind in the nation.

At 34, Sara is the youngest person and first female to hold the role of marketing manager at Hoffman Auto Group. She joined Hoffman in 2014 in a sales role and was quickly promoted to a position in the marketing department. A 2011 graduate of the University of Connecticut, Scribner was raised in West Hartford and continues to be very involved in her local community as a committee member of the Burton and Phyllis Hoffman Foundation. This year, the foundation’s annual golf classic raised over $500,000 for local charitable organizations focused on education, health, the arts, and social well-being. Being involved with the foundation allows Sara to work closely with other organizations and leaders who share the same passion for giving back.

Hoffman Auto Group celebrated its 100th year in business in 2021. With the third and fourth generations leading the company, Hoffman is regarded as one of the most successful family-owned businesses in the state. As a trusted leader in the Connecticut automotive market, the company provides a superior customer-centric experience offering 11 brands, two collision centers, and an insurance agency. Hoffman employs over 450 individuals and demonstrates a robust commitment to the community through its philanthropy.
