The Exchange Club of Glastonbury will hold its 6th annual Touch A Truck event. This event is designed to appeal to younger children or any one who has an urge to touch a tractor trailer, a dump truck, other construction equipment, fire trucks, other emergency responders, tow trucks, utility and other big rigs, national guard equipment, and even an old butchers meat wagon. There will be more than 25 pieces of equipment on display. Children of all ages can honk the horns and creatively explore the equipment with guidance from the owners and professionals. The kids will be able to get behind the wheel of the equipment and rub elbows with some of their local heroes and professionals. Also, again this year, will be the Roaming Railroad and also a balloon artist who will twist balloons into a myriad of shapes to delight the children. Proceeds from this event support the Exchange Club’s KidSafe child abuse prevention center, provide scholarships to students at GHS, and supports many other non-profit organizations.
