ART TALK: Sustainable Terrarium Artistry with Kerin Smollen
Thursday, August 14 6:30 - 8:30pm at Glastonbury Arts CenterLearn the art and science of building your own miniature ecosystem! In this terrarium talk, you'll learn how to create, care for, and customize your own self-contained green world—perfect for home, school, or gifts. “My goal is to provide a space where people can experience the beauty and joy of flowers and plants in a way that’s both personal and sustainable,” says Kerin Smollen.
Kerin Smollen, entrepreneur and floral designer, bring 25 years of design experience from the renowned Flower School NYC. Smollen, whose resume includes floral design for the White House as well as innovation experience at LEGO and Disney, brings unparalleled expertise to her new Glastonbury venture Flower & Twine.
This program is part of the Art Talks series presented by Glastonbury Arts. The presentations provide a window-in to the creative experience for original art and handmade craft. Popular to artists, students, and art appreciators alike.
