Priam Vineyards is holding its inaugural Ride n’ Vine Hot Rod and Classic Car Show on Sunday, September 20 from 11 am to 6 pm. Priam teamed with local car enthusiasts, Killustrate It and Jeremiah Johnson Trading, to showcase some of the most unique and beautiful automobiles in New England. Admission is free to the public. Classic car and hot rod enthusiasts may exhibit for $10 per car. There is no year cut-off, and all hot rods, customs, stockers and race cars are welcome. Priam’s Ride n’ Vine event offers award-winning wine, food and fresh autumn air in the vineyards. Food trucks from TapHouse 150 and Big Green Truck Pizza feature a wide variety of menu items. Hop Culture Farms will offer a diverse selection of cold beers on tap. Water and soda are also available for purchase. No outside beverages allowed. New England Antique Racers (NEAR) will be onsite with some classic race cars, as well as their newly renovated Mobile Museum. RB Racing Museum will be at the vineyard with 1981's Talladega 500 winner: Ron Bouchard's “The 47 Car.” Inductees into the legendary Race Car Hall of Fame will also be on hand to meet the public. Social distancing and pandemic-related protocols will be observed. A portion of wine purchases will be donated to benefit the RB Racing Museum as well as The NEAR Hall of Fame. Priam Vineyards is on the Connecticut Wine Trail at 11 Shailor Hill Road off Route 149 in Colchester. It is a completely solar-powered winery and sustainable vineyard nestled in the Salmon River Watershed area, and has been declared a nature conservation area by the World Wildlife Federation. Priam is the first winery in New England to be Vegan Certified by the BevVeg organization, and in 2020 the vineyard was again named Connecticut Winery of the Year at the International Wine Competition. The International Award-Winning wines Priam Vineyards has produced are estate grown, blended, bottled and cellared on premises. The vineyard is a popular site for weddings and corporate events, and a year-round getaway for wine tastings, concerts, family outings, and picnics.
