Missing the Big E this year? No Worries! Priam Vineyards will host its first ever "Little E" to offer Big E fair favorites with a twist. Saturday, Oct. 3, 11am – 6pm, come enjoy artisan crafts, food trucks, live music, live animals, adoptable fur baby dogs and cats, world class wines, craft beer, and more at the vineyard! The event is free to the public. Fair-favorite food and drink includes Sweet Madeline’s homemade apple cider donuts, mouth-watering American-Mexican grub from TapHouse 150, Bear’s Smokehouse BBQ, craft beer from Alvarium and Priam Vineyards’ award winning wine. The list of artisan crafts and vendors includes upcycled denim and leather apparel by MelRose Denim, custom and hand forged knives, tools and outdoor gear by Knives and Roses, Good Vibes Kettle Corn, a colorful fusion of dry nail polish and nail art by Color Street, Laurie Lynne’s handmade jewelry, refurbished guitars, amps and other instruments by K City Guitars, sea glass and seashell mosaic frames and windows by Glass Whiskers, Bazaar Gardening’s upcycled arts and garden resources, home décor items and handmade solar lanterns by Silver City Special Events & Gifts, Menagerie’s works of art embracing animals and nature. Adorable, adoptable fur baby dogs and cats from Monkey’s Pack CT non-profit animal rescue will warm your heart. Handmade fur baby clothing will also be sold. Live acoustic music by Harlan Toussaint will add to the festivities. Priam Vineyards is on the Connecticut Wine Trail at 11 Shailor Hill Road off Route 149 in Colchester. It is a completely solar-powered winery and sustainable vineyard nestled in the Salmon River Watershed area, and has been declared a nature conservation area by the World Wildlife Federation. Priam is the first winery in New England to be Vegan Certified by the BevVeg organization, and in 2020 the vineyard was again named Connecticut Winery of the Year at the International Wine Competition. The International Award-Winning wines Priam Vineyards has produced are estate grown, blended, bottled and cellared on premises.
