    East Hartford Police Department Welcomes a New Officer

    The Town of East Hartford and the East Hartford Police Department welcomed a new police officer today at the East Hartford Public Safety Complex. “East Hartford has one of the finest Police Departments in the state and that’s because of the men and women who serve as our police officers,” said Mayor Mike Walsh. “We are fortunate to be able to recruit capable, competent and diverse officers and provide them with the highest quality training that aligns with internationally-recognized CALEA standards, which helps them become a tremendous asset to our community. We welcome Bianca to our community and wish her the best as she begins her training.”

     “Our community deserves nothing short of the best, and that’s what we strive for every day,” Chief Sansom said. The police department is committed in ensuring our recruits receive the finest training possible in their quest to become East Hartford Police Officers.” 

    Officer Bianca N. Leite was administered the Oath of the Office by East Hartford Town Clerk Robert Pasek, overseen my Mayor Michael P. Walsh, East Hartford Police Chief Scott Sansom, and members of his command staff. Officer Bianca N. Leite is 26 years old and grew up in Bethel, CT. Bianca graduated from Bethel High School, and went on to Quinnipiac College. After two years of attending Quinnipiac College, Bianca transferred to Western Connecticut State University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Justice and Law Administration. Bianca is currently working in the service industry as a bar tender / server at a popular restaurant.

     Officer Leite will attend the New Haven Police Academy on November 28th, 2022.
