8th Annual Poetry Inspired by Art
Saturday, January 31, 2026, 1:00 to 2:30 pm
Victoria Nordlund, award-winning poet, Glastonbury Poet Laureate and lead master teaching artist at the Nook Farm Writers Collaborative at The Mark Twain House & Museum, has gathered a dazzling array of established and emerging poets and writers for the 8th annual presentation of Poetry Inspired by Art. Each year a select group of poets creates original poetry inspired by the artworks of Glastonbury Arts member artists. Be inspired as you learn about each artist’s work, the imagery that inspired the art. Then, enjoy poetry readings by the invited poets who have created original poetry inspired by the artworks on display. Please note that this event will take place at the Welles Turner Memorial Library, 2407 Main Street in Glastonbury.
This program is part of the Art Talks series presented by Glastonbury Arts. The presentations provide a window-in to the creative experience for original art and handmade craft. Popular to artists, students, and art appreciators alike. All Art Talks are FREE and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
Pre-Registration to attend is not required.
