This is a community wide interfaith event and will feature well known Connecticut Holocaust survivor Rabbi Philip Lazowski as the keynote speaker along with two other local second generation Holocaust survivors. The event features local performances by the Glastonbury High School choral Madrigal singers along with a very special Yom Hashoah candle lighting.
The event has two main purposes; to commemorate victims of the Holocaust and educate the community, especially high school students, how hate from the past informs the present and the future. Click here to view the information on a
contest that the event has designed for Glastonbury 9-12th graders. The winners will be awarded their scholarship prizes on the May 9th.
Thank you to our sponsors including: First Church of Christ Glastonbury, Congregation Kol Haverim Glastonbury, Beth Sholom B’nai Israel of Manchester, Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford, Jewish Community Foundation, Voices of Hope, Shop Rite and Coldwell Banker of Glastonbury.Tell a Friend
