    Description

Businesses play a critical role as the state navigates the pandemic. CBIA's advocacy team ensured lawmakers focused on addressing the critical issues impacting the recovery, the state's competitiveness, and the need to support small business. Join CBIA and the CT River Valley Chamber of Commerce on November 17th from 2-3pm as we look back on the 2021 legislative session and discuss what lies ahead for the upcoming 2022 legislative session.

    Meet our presenters:
Wyatt Bosworth is assistant counsel for CBIA, Connecticut’s leading business organization.
He represents Connecticut businesses on matters that come before the Connecticut General Assembly’s Public Health, Insurance and Real Estate, Transportation, Government Administration and Elections, and Planning and Development committees.  Prior to joining CBIA, Bosworth worked as a registered lobbyist with Brown Rudnick LLP where he represented corporations and non-profit organizations before various legislative committees. He also served as staff assistant to House Majority Leader Matt Ritter and has years of municipal and statewide campaign consulting experience.  Bosworth currently sits on the board of directors for Sun Scholars Inc. and has past experience as an elected official in the town of New Britain. During law school, he served as an articles editor on the Connecticut Law Review and was the recipient of the Connecticut Bar Association Labor and Employment Award.  Bosworth earned his juris doctorate with honors at the University of Connecticut School of Law and is admitted to the Connecticut bar. He also holds a bachelor’s in political science from Central Connecticut State University where he graduated summa cum laude.

Ashley Zane is a government affairs associate with CBIA, Connecticut’s leading business organization.
She represents the views of Connecticut businesses regarding the state budget and spending, higher education, environment, and commerce related issues.  Prior to CBIA, Zane was a policy analyst with the House Republican Office covering committees including the Finance, Revenue, and Bonding Committee, Appropriations Committee, and Commerce Committee.  In that position, she provided bill analysis and policy advice to the members of the House Republican Caucus and General Assembly. She also assisted in drafting legislation and amendments considered by those committees.  Zane earned her MPA at the University of Connecticut and also holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut.

Stevie Ann Lis is the advocacy outreach manager for CBIA, Connecticut’s leading business organization. Lis drives efforts to further CBIA’s public policy positions and membership engagement.  Prior to joining CBIA, Lis was an associate manager of corporate relations at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, DC.  At the chamber she promoted the strategic fundraising plan of the chamber’s CEO while continuing to maintain and build strong relationships with members.  Lis is a graduate of Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and lives in West Hartford.
