InterCommunity Gallery is pleased to announce the opening date for its second exhibition of the year! Join us on Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 6pm-8pm at 287 Main Street in East Hartford, CT for a free reception unveiling of our latest group juried show, "Breaking Free: A 250th Anniversary Celebration of America."
The “Breaking Free” exhibit, featuring the works of over 20 artists, is all about liberation from anything that holds you back. Inviting artists to explore the meaning of “freedom” from personal transformation to defying societal norms, this exhibition celebrates resilience, rebellion, and the power of art to challenge limits and spark conversation as we reflect on the year of America's 250th anniversary. Artists will share their bold artistic expressions of what it means to "break free" across several mediums. Admission and parking are free and complimentary light refreshments will be served.
"Breaking Free" will be on display from May 7, 2026 - July 31, 2026. All shows at InterCommunity Gallery are free and open to the public every weekday.
