ARI's Human Resources business is growing rapidly, and we're looking for a hands-on, operational HR Generalist to join our team who will provide our clients with premium service across all HR areas.
The HR Generalist is responsible for applying business knowledge and HR knowledge to assist clients with a wide range of HR issues. The successful candidate will manage projects and provide support on matters related to employee relations, benefits, performance management, policy and procedure creation and review, and HR best practices while facilitating a positive relationship with clients and staff.
General HR Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on HR best practices and ensure legal compliance.
- Help clients integrate effective HR processes, programs, and practices into their daily operations.
- Create and draft policies and procedures that are compliant with federal, state and local laws.
- Deliver assigned HR client projects within assigned budget and timeframes. Project work includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Job description creation and review;
- Compensation analysis and benchmarking; and
- Employee Handbook creation and review (both CT-specific and multi-state).
- Implement performance management practices, policies, processes and documentation in accordance with client requirements and advise clients on best practice.
- Travel to local client locations as required.
Qualifications and Skills / Experience
- A minimum of 3 years of HR consulting and/or generalist experience.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound judgment and high level of professionalism and discretion.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage project deadlines and budget parameters.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, current legal regulations, and compliance requirements
- Experience with HRIS systems; PayChex, ADP or iSolved experience strongly preferred
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in HR Management or related discipline; or equivalent work experience
