Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bristol, CT, for a Sales Manager. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing effective sales strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones. This position will have a heavy focus on the association market while also working in the religious, non-profit and government markets. Daily tasks include managing client relationships, conducting site tours, coordinating event logistics with the planning team, and negotiating contracts to meet revenue goals. The role requires active collaboration with the marketing team to promote services and drive inquiries, as well as analyzing sales data to identify opportunities for growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities (corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners, etc.)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Conduct sales calls, site visits, and presentations to promote hospitality services
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and service agreements
- Coordinate with marketing and operations teams to align sales efforts
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and budgets
- Manage group bookings, conferences, and special events
- Meet and/or exceed sales goals to include weekly sales calls
- Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry meetings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- 3–5+ years of experience in hospitality sales or a related role
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools specifically ZoomInfo, Amadeus, CVENT & Social Tables.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Sales and negotiation skills, including the ability to build strong client relationships and close deals
- Event planning and coordination abilities to ensure smooth execution of events
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client presentations and correspondence
- Experience in the events, hospitality, or similar industries is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
