Chelsea Groton Bank’s Rebecca Wesolowski Named ‘New Leader in Banking’ by Connecticut Bankers Association

GROTON, Conn. – Chelsea Groton Bank is pleased to announce Rebecca Wesolowski, AVP, recently promoted to Lending Compliance and Secondary Operations Manager, has been named a 2025 ‘New Leader in Banking’ by the Connecticut Bankers Association (CBA). This prestigious recognition is awarded to individuals from across Connecticut who have made a significant impact within their bank and community. This year, 15 individuals from 14 banks received this honor.

Rebecca joined Chelsea Groton’s Retail Banking team in 2017 before transitioning to the Retail Lending department, where she has taken on roles of increasing levels of responsibility. She received her Master of Science in Accounting from the New England Institute of Business at Cambridge College. In 2023, Rebecca participated in the CBA’s Aspire Leadership Academy to further her managerial skillset.  

Rebecca is the chairman for the Groton Scholarship Fund Committee, a committee that awards scholarships to Robert E. Fitch High School graduating seniors. She is also a member of the Connecticut Mortgage Bankers Association (CMBA) Young Mortgage Professionals committee. 

Rebecca and her family reside in Franklin, CT.
