DT Cares Announces East Hartford Community Health Day: Together We Walk & Run for Education

EAST HARTFORD, CT — DT Cares, in partnership with the Town of East Hartford, East Hartford Public Schools, East Hartford Early Start, East Hartford Alumni Association, Hartford HealthCare, and community partners, will host East Hartford Community Health Day: Together We Walk & Run for Education on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 9:00 AM–2:00 PM at East Hartford High School, 869 Forbes Street.

The free community event is designed for youth, adults, families, businesses, and community members and will bring together health, fitness, education, and community resources in one location.

Activities and services will include a 5K Walk/Run, 3v3 basketball tournament, family activities and games, community resources, health and wellness screenings, and Hartford HealthCare’s Mobile Mammography Unit. Insurance is not required for those interested in accessing the mobile mammography service.

Community members are encouraged to attend, participate in the day’s activities, and register to walk or run in the 5K.
