EAST HARTFORD CUTS RIBBON ON NEWLY
    REORGANIZED COMMUNITY CENTER

East Hartford, CT – The Town of East Hartford, East Hartford Public Schools (EHPS), and the Connecticut Probate Courts celebrated the newly reorganized and renamed East Hartford Community Center (EHCC) with a ribbon cutting and open house.

The celebration began with a ribbon cutting ceremony, followed by an open house highlighting the many programs and departments now located at the EHCC, including the new home of the Hartford Regional Children’s Probate Court.

Earlier this month, the East Hartford Town Council approved Mayor Connor Martin’s recommendation to rename the former East Hartford Community Cultural Center. The new name reflects its expanded role as a centralized hub for vital town services.

The following departments and services now operate from the East Hartford Community Center:

    • Crisis Intervention Division
    • East Hartford Food Pantry
    • EHPS English Learner and Bilingual Services
    • EHPS Family Learning Center
    • EHPS Family Welcome and Registration Center
    • EHPS Office of Family and Community Partnerships
    • Hartford Regional Children’s Probate Court
    • Parks and Recreation
    • Women, Infants & Children (WIC) – Regional East Hartford
    • Youth and Social Services
"This transformation reflects our commitment to creating a one-stop shop for essential services and support," said Mayor Connor S. Martin. "We’re proud to bring so many resources under one roof to better serve the East Hartford community."

“I commend Mayor Martin and East Harford, for their vision to establish a social services building, in essence one-stop-shopping for families.

Harford Regional Children’s Probate Court is proud to be part of this state-of-the-art concept, which will greatly benefit the Children from the 26 towns that the Court presides over. “

“The new East Hartford Community Center is a powerful symbol of collaboration between the Town of East Hartford and East Hartford Public Schools for the betterment of our residents,” said East Hartford Public Schools Superintendent Thomas Anderson. “New families to East Hartford can now register for school and discover other vital town services during the same visit, demonstrating our townwide commitment to accessibility, connection and support.”
