Jeanette Ziegler Elected to Chelsea Groton Bank’s Board of Trustees

GROTON, Conn. – Jeanette Ziegler, Chief Operating Officer for Native Americans in Philanthropy, was recently elected to Chelsea Groton Bank’s Board of Trustees. She became a Corporator of the Bank in 2024.   

“Jeanette brings an extraordinary depth of experience in tribal government, strategic leadership, and complex organizational management,” said Anthony Joyce, President and CEO of Chelsea Groton Bank. “Throughout her career with the Mohegan Tribe, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to thoughtful governance, long-term planning, and community stewardship. Her perspective and leadership will be invaluable to our Board of Trustees, and I am proud to welcome Jeanette as a new member. Ziegler brings decades of leadership experience in tribal government and corporate operations, having served the Mohegan Tribe in a variety of high-level roles prior to her retirement in March 2022. Her distinguished career includes serving as Chief Operating Officer of the Mohegan Holding Company, Director of Strategic Initiatives for the Mohegan Tribe, Senior Vice President of Administration for Mohegan Sun, and Tribal Manager for the Mohegan Tribe. Earlier in her career, Ziegler held positions with Norwich Savings Society and the City of Norwich, where she built a strong foundation in finance and public sector administration. 

Ziegler holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Connecticut and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Eastern Connecticut State University. She resides in Oakdale, CT, with her husband, Louis, and their children, Sydnie and Ryan.
