Take Great Photos with Your Smartphone (iPhone & Android)
June 15 & 16, 1:00 - 4:00 pm
Today’s smartphones are remarkably capable cameras—and with the right skills, they can produce images you’ll be proud to share. In this engaging two day class, you’ll learn how to take control of your smartphone camera and move beyond snapshots to consistently better photographs. Explore essential camera controls, simple photographic theory, and practical composition techniques that make a real difference. Learn steady hand holding methods, step by step shooting habits, and discover helpful apps and accessories that can expand your creative options. No prior photography experience is required. Please note that taking of selfies is not covered in this 2-day workshop. A comprehensive take home guide is included to make learning easy during class and afterward. Just bring your fully charged smartphone, the smartphone charger, and any accessories you have and get ready to take better pictures.
Instructor Peter Glass is a professional photographer specializing in commercial, corporate, editorial, and stock photography. With over 25 years of experience, he has worked with clients ranging from small businesses to major corporations, as well as magazines and agencies in the U.S. and abroad. His stock images are represented internationally and appear regularly in books, brochures, magazines, and websites. Peter is also an experienced photography educator, teaching classes, seminars, and workshops for towns, college art centers, and libraries. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Film and Television Production and writes a monthly photography blog.
