    About Us

For over 40 years, Children in Placement (CIP) has been at the forefront of child welfare reform and advocacy, fighting for the best interest of Connecticut’s neglected children. As an organization whose roots spread across the state, CIP’s mission is to provide a support system, wrap-around services, and essential resources to Connecticut children that have, through no fault of their own, found themselves under the state’s care. Through our initiatives: the Guardian ad Litem (GAL) program, and our Youth Sponsor program, Children in Placement is able to tackle our main goal of finding permanent, safe placement for CT’s children and – when that is no longer an option for those aging out of the system – to provide these young adults with the necessary tools to live the future they dream of.
